What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Using Postinor 2?

Hi doctor this is my problem i had intercourse wit my girlfriend 2 the first week we had sex she used postinor 2 the two pills and the second week she took another 2 and now its going on a month and she haven t seen her period and she is getting slight pain on her breast and vomiting she even bought 2 pregnancy tests and they both showed up positive is she really pregnant

It is estimated that Postinor-2 will prevent 85% of expected pregnancies. 95% of expected pregnancies will be prevented if taken within the first 24 hours, declining to 58% if taken between 48 hours and 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. Thus, Postinor 2 must be taken after every unprotected intercourse.

Still there is a chance of pregnancy. As both pregnancy tests showed positive, she is most probably pregnant. she needs to consult a gynecologist for further confirmation and evaluation. You can discuss with the gynecologist about the methods of abortion if you don't want to continue pregnancy.
