I really hope someone can help me with this. I m a 27 yr old mother of 4, I ve been in a relationship for 9 yrs. About my situation, I recently had a std panel on 1/22/15. My OB stated that my HSV 2 IgM was weakly positive . Devastated, I asked for another test. On 1/30/15 i had a type specific test. My OB stated that my HSV2 IgG was 0.2 . And that i have to wait till 3/13/15 to retest. I told my fiance the news and he stated that he s never had anything down there to suspect that he has it and swears that he s been faithful, and thinks his buddy that has hsv2 somehow gave it to us. I m so confused by this, I know that i have been faithful. My OB stated that there is a chance of a false positive due to chicken pox as a child or a cold sore that appeared a day after my first test. My relationship is riding on the results of my next test, Can someone please help me?
