What Are The Chances Of DVT Spreading Further?
Hi my dad was diagonsed Dvt in the right calf . He was on 5 days injections heparin at the hospital and post was in acitrom 2 mg , Lucipan and Mecobest for 15 days Now scan shows 80% further blockages in the veins But his INr is 2.5 and doc suggested acitrom 1 mg . My question is what are the chances of the clot to travel upwards or causing any further damage . Also his protien S is very low at 16.3 . Rest of his blood reports are normal

under cover of meds and prescribed precautions and movements of legs and support measures, chances may be lesser for clots to disloge and go elswhere, nevertheless it cannot be accurately predicted,one has just to follow meical regime and wait and watch and give best efforts to cure
