What are the causes and treatment available for watering eye ?

Hello Doctor , My age is 52yrs.Iam having continuos eye watering,redness,sensitivity to light and eye ball pain for 2 months. consulted doctor and he gave steriod injections in eye.All the test result are normal. But doctors not able to find what is the real cause for this. still iam having this issue. Please advice me what to do

My wife accidentally splashed acetone in my eye. I flushed my eye with water keeping it open for a good 10-20 minutes but my eye keeps getting redder. there was no noticeable pain other than irritation at first but it has slowly gotten to the point that bright light causes searing pain. I have an eye patch on I picked up today along with eye drops and intend on going to the doctor as soon as I can make an appointment but do I need to go to the ER or wait for my doctor. I m concerned about permanent eye damage.
