Hi, Diprobate RD is a topical steroid cream, similar to hydrocortisone. It works by reducing the inflammation and irritation of the skin and stopping allergic reactions. I do understand the logic behind what your physician was doing with prescribing this medications as it does reduce inflammation, however, I am really not sure if this will be totally effective since your issue is more of a vascular (blood vessel) issue. When you are exposed to heat this blood vessels in your face dilate which is the cause the of the redness, I don t think the steroid cream will be all that effective in reducing this reaction.
