What Are The Adverse Effects Of Masturbation On Future Sexual Life?

Hello doctor,
I wanted to ask you something about masturbation problems because i dont feel like consulting doctor personally for this.
Actually i was a victim of child abuse in my childhood, and because of some bad companions of mine i got addicted to masturbation at a vry early age of aroun 12 or 13 years. I didnt know about any severe effects of what i was doing unfortunately. In the beginning it was too much like sometimes 2 times in a day or 2-3 rimes in a week. But as i grew up older i reduced it to some extent when i was around 15 or 16 years old. But i am unable to stop masturbating, like if i eat more then more frequently i feel like to masturbate . now i am 21 years old 5 ft 6 inches and weighs only 55 kgs which makes me look kind of a skinny boy. i try very hard to put on some more weight, but i dont get any satisfactory result. from around past 5-6 years my body hasnt shown any sign of growth. i am vry worried about my physique and because of which i also dont like to meet any friends or relatives. please advice me something doctor so that i can cure from this problem. and also some people tell me that i will become normal if i do actual sex with a female. or some say may be after marriage. i dont know what to do , i request you please guide me for god sake.
thanks for your time and consideration.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history and some understanding and mis-understanding about the topic under consideration.

First of all, come out of the guilt and anxiety you look to be carrying on.
Masturbation 3 to 4 times in a day is absolutely a normal and physiological process in human being, gives you sufficient pleasure , relaxation and hormonal balance and emotional outgo.
So no need to stop Masturbation.
This will have no side effects and you can certainly have a normal sexual life even after marriage.
As far as the question of not gaining weight: there are many other problems , either physical or otherwise that have a direct bearing on your physical development.
I would advise you to get checked once from a Physician and undergo some investigations to make sure that you are not suffering from some medical problem; if found out get treated and you will be fine.
Reduce your stressful life, try to relax as much as possible.
