Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was at a work out at the gym yesterday (and this type of workout is new for me). I am 58. Good health but not top shape. Non smoker. About 15 lbs overweight. Had heart rate in zone of 150 plus for a good 15 minutes. When I got off the bike and was walking it off and letting heart rate come down I had a visual disturbance in left eye. It was like having a fluorescent light in the middle of my field of vision. It lasted for about 15 minutes. Is that an ocular migraine? I had no pain and did not get a head ache afterwards. I have suffered migraines in the past but they have settled a lot with menopause.
The most common symptom of occular migraine include vision loss or blindness for a short period of time (I mean less than one hour). This happens along with a migraine headache or before a migraine headache.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dona Raj, Dentist
