What Are Survival Chances With 10% Working Heart And Pacemaker Implant?

My father is 85 year young and he has been told that his heart is only function at 10%. They recently changed his med to try and protect his kidneys and liver. He has gone from being very active to someone who get tired very quickly. He has a pacemaker after having a triple by-pass 5 years ago. I'm trying to understand exactly what are his chances of survival?

It sounds like your father has been diagnosed with heart failure. This is a serious condition, but the function can improve with appropriate medications. Seeing his cardiologist and taking his medications will help him live longer. It is hard to predict how long he will live but people can live for many years with this condition.
