What Are Small, Red, Flaky Bumps On Pubic Area Suggestive Of?
A few days ago I noticed a small, red, flaky bump that is indented but it is painless, isn t itchy and doesn t have any pus inside (located on my inner thigh). Since then about 10 smaller bumps that look essentially like razor burn popped up on my pubic area (not inside my vagina). They re all painless, not itchy and don t have pus inside. Should I be concerned?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small, red, flaky bumps on pubic area. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like jock itch , yeast infection , molluscum contagiosum , scabies , contact dermatitis or syphilis . It can also be folicullitis . I would suggest to keep the area clean and dry , wear loose cloths , apply petroleum jelly and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
