What Are Presence Of Squamous And Transitional Epithelial Cells In Urine Suggestive Of?

I recently had some additional testing due to testing positive multipe times for microscopic blood in my urine. I am 37 and have no risk factors for bladder cancer; however, my results showed a high number of squamous epithelial cells and the presence of transitional epithelial cells in my urine. I am very nervous that it could be cancer. Can you provide any insights?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The urine analysis is highly suggestive of urinary bladder cancer, which can be possible at 37 as well. Kindly fix an appointment with an expert urosurgeon and get diagnostic cystoscopy with bladder biopsy on priority basis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
