I am 37 weeks pregnant and have a lot of discomfort down below, when I go to the toliet I can feel there is something there as in the babys head, I have dull back ache that comes and goes, I am very tired and have a shooting pains in my vagina, could labour be starting ..."

Discomfort in that part of your body is normal because is pushing your baby head.
Time for labour is still early because you need one more week that your baby become mature,and you can continue in this stage for another 5 weeks.
You will labour when:
contraction of uterus will become regular
intense
or you will have water brake
