What Are Painful Calf Muscles With Blotchy Rashes Suggestive Of?

Yesterday, I stood and walked for 18hrs (approximately 33 miles walked) without sitting or rest. I am about 100lbs over weight, and a week ago was a couch potato. Today my Achilles tendons and calf muslcles on both legs burn and ache. (Feet as well.). And I have developed an angry looking blotchy rash just above the Achilles tendon at base of calf muscle on both legs. Can this be a sign of a serious injury?

Hello,

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
