Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
We just received bone age results for our son who is 14 years 5 months and his bone age results indicate 17 years (std. deviation of 10.7 months). His growth plates are not closed but we are curious how much growth he has left or what to do with the bone age results that are 2+ years ahead of his skeletal bone maturation related to his future growth. He is 5'9" now and 140 pounds. Can you advise on how to interpret the bone age?
