Want To Apply Keratin Treatment. History Of Having Done This Treatment Before. Any Side Effects?
Dr. My name is angira pal. I am a bengali.on the coming month we have our durga puja fesival.so i want to get apply keratin treatment by coming week. 4 month ago i had done keratin treatment on my hair.bt i heard about the side effect.that formaldihyde is the major component of keratin.the fumes absorbs to our skin that causes cancer.I am really worried about this treatment.can you please guide me and tell me the necessary steps .Thanks& Regards.

Hi i do not think cancer occurs with single treatment of keratin to the hair.ofcourse keratin contains formaldehyde but most part of it is absorbed by hair.but repeated applications of keratin may cause as the cumulative dose increases.apply a good hair oil 6-12 hrs before keratin treatment can prevent cancer to some extent
