Hi, Welcome to HCM, Thanks for posting query to this forum, You are successfully treated for chronic Multiple Sclerosis with latest disease modifying drugs, currently on interferon beta-1a. There are many such drugs including monoclonal antibody Natalizumab. BG 12 that is Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is another immunomodulator and has less immunosuppressive action, but there are many side effects and hence It should be discussed with your Neurologist. In this disease there are relapses which needs to be treated and there is progression of disease not the failure of therapy. In acute cases corticosteroids and even plasmapheresis is required. You should discuss with your Neurologist to plan best possible therapy for you. wish you good Luck. Take care. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
