Today I Had An Appointment With My Primary Care Physician

Today I had an appointment with my primary care physician regarding extreme hot flashes that started in my stomach (as if someone kicked me), and radiated throughout my body slowly. All the while I was thinking I'm close to absolutely self-immolate, the heat was so strong. then, I would be drenched in sweat. This happened 3-4 times a night, waking me up out of a sound sleep. I came to the doctor looking for hormone replacement therapy, and an anti-anxiety medication. Instead, she found an enlarged lymph node under my left ear, near my jaw. She ordered an EKG, and ordered blood tests, both of which I had. I"m also scheduled for an appointment at MASS eye and Ear, and because of the nurse's concern, I was able to get an appointment for this Friday morning at 8. When I asked her what was she concerned about, she said the symptoms could be related to TB, mononucleosis or even cancer. I'm VERY concerned. Any suggestions?
