This started in Sept.,2015 went to emergency hospital in Nov. and was released 4 days later after all days of antibiotics. In March 2016 went back in the hospital for 6 days, was draining very much again. I changed my dressing Wed. and saw something moving on the wet bandage and then stomped my foot and about 40 or more little wormy things fell off my still draining leg. I don't know what to do. Who to tell. After the last time I was to the wound nurse and she scraped my leg for a sample I was in so much pain I couldn't talk myself into going back without something for pain and she wouldn't, so I have been doing my bandage changing since May on my own. What about those worms ? I am homeless, and sleeping in my car so there isn't a place to raise my legs and I can't rest my right leg because it is on the back of the leg and has spread down to my ankle. I changed my bandage in the bathroom of the hospital and just didn't know what to do when those wormy things fell off my leg. I had it completely wrapped in the bandages and wrapped with the roll of gauze so it would stay on with out using the elastic stocking because it's been too tight. Please tell me what I should do about this.
