The Transvaginal Ultrasound Is Suggestive Of Polycystic Ovaries While Having Irregular Menstruation. What Is To Be Done Next?
Hi, I recently undergo a transviganal ultrasound because of having an irregular menstruation problem, these were the results: 1 The uterus is retroverted with regular contour and homogeneous myometrium. There are no myometrial masses seen. The cervix is closed and homogeneous. The endometrium is thick and hyperechoic with intact endomyometrial interface. Within both ovaries are multiple cystic structures ( 12) each measuring less than 1.0 in diameter suggestive of polycystic ovaries. There are no adnexal masses seen. There is no fluid in the cul de sac.(Can someone explain the result to me?) You answer will be a great help. Thank you.

- serum testosterone

- serum prolactin
Kindly provide your USG report also for giving more comment. Hormonal pill can be prescribed to you regularise period in polycystic ovary. Your sugar level also should be checked and metformin started if high. Take care and provide reports so that I can guide you further.
