As explained to me by a cardiologist the most definitive diagnosis for coronary artery disease comes from a cardiac catheterization. Stress tests tell that there is a problem that is preventing the heart from getting needed blood flow. But it doesn't differentiate between a blockage or a spasm.

Hi, I have had shortness of breath upon simple exertion. My blood pressure is normal and lung capacity is good. All my blood tests show no irregularity but I am fatigued all the time in spite of adequate sleep. Could I be experiencing a narrowing in a vital blood vessel?

I am a 42 year old male and i have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for over a year now, i have chest pains which come and go mostly on the right side of my chest just above the breast bone and sometimes further right towards the extreme of my side. i also have cramps on my right hand and foot (mostly) as well as pain in my back. I did an ecg about a month ago and the result was basically normal save for some unspecified conductivity abnormalities. Also did a lipids test and my total cholesterol was 5.1 Mmol/l. Do I have a coronary artery disease?
