Tender Swollen Patch Of Skin Size Of A Baking Potato,

Tender swollen patch of skin size of a baking potato, warm to touch, hurts to touch on lower back right side near hip area. No redness, no rash, no nicks in skin or cuts, no marks at all. Going on three weeks now with no improvement.
Visited my father in a hospital icu shortly before developed however I work in a different hospital for 24 years now? I was thinking MRSA or cellulitis but there is no marks, cuts, rash, redness on skin at all. ???
