What Causes Low Grade Fever While On Antibiotics For UTI?

Taking antibiotics for UTI . A low grade fever which reaches 99.4 deg f at times only comes in when it gets closer to taking my next antibiotics meds. Once I take the antibiotics after about an hour the fever goes down. Explain what is happening here?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The fever shows the involvement of your immune system to fight infection.
When you take the antibiotic it fights bacteria and so the fever goes down since ni more imune fight is needed.
When antibiotic concentration lowers the body still becomes involved in fight causing fever.
In a moment when the infection will be dominated by antibiotic the fever will no longer be problem.
