Taking Atacand For High Blood Pressure. Missed Dose. Nausea, Headache, Vision Reduction. Reason?

I have been on atacand for high blood pressure 8mg for some time.
Recently I accidently missed my tablets for about 5 days. When I realised this I immediately had my script filled. About the 4 th day I began to feel nauseated, with severe headaches , vision reduction , persperation on activity , and generally very unwell. Is thia a sympton of the sudden stoppage of thaking Atacand and how long does it take to resume normality . I have had my 2nd tablet with no relief.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You are suffering from High blood pressure and taking treatment with Candesartan,It is not advisable to stop treatment abruptly as it can cause blood pressure to shoot up suddenly and there can be damaged to end organ.
If blood pressure is high then it is hypertensive urgency and if any end organ damage is there it is emergency. Then visit to ER is warranted.
You should visit a Physician and get your Blood pressure measured and eye should be examined for papilloedema as you have blurred vision.ECG to see any heart issues.Other tests like urine R&M, kidney function, any abnormality detected can be treated accordingly.
Please make sure that you take your treatment regularly.
Hope this is useful to you.
Take care.
