Taking Adderall. Having Swollen, Hands, Feet, Ankles In The Morning. Also Have Herniated Disc In The Back. Caused By Adderall?

Hi, I take 20mg of adderall a day, been taking it for about 5 yrs now.Just within the past week I have been noticing that my hands, feet and ankles are swollen when I wake up in the morning. I also have a herniated disk in my lower back and I am nurse on my feet all day. I just recently had my bloodwork done and everything was fine. I was wondering if it could be the adderall that is causing my swelling or maybe issues with my back?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

From the sketchy information provided, you seem to be suffering from one or an overlap of connective tissue/auto immune disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis or SLE.

It is not possible to localize your condition in the absence of all details of your problems.

It is certainly not due to Adderall.

I therefore, suggest that you consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.

In case of any further queries, revert back to me THROUGH DIRECT PREMIUM QUERY (Paid), addressed to me personally. You will receive- almost immediately- my response in great details.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE all doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
