Suggest Ways To Wean Off Xanax

i have been on 2mgs of xanax every 4-6 hours for about 9 years and been on xanax for a total of 13 years, my doctor said due to a law in ohio they have to take me off my xanax and cut me suddenly i am scared of withdraws and also woder what i wil take to help control my panic attacks. i have ptsd and am agoraphobic

I am so sorry to hear about this. Laws are to protect patients and not exposed them to the very ill conditions that we should be protecting. Your doctor should be prescribing another anti anxiety medication to take care of your disease. It would not be logical to be taken off without a substitute. Ask him to get you on a new medication.
