Suggest Ways To Manage Severe Pain After Back Injury

I suffer from a work-related back injury that occurred almost eleven months ago. Since then, I have had 2 periformis injections to attempt to relieve the pain that radiate down my butt, thigh, and all the way down to the bottom of my foot. I ve just recently noticed that Ive sometimes been getting goosebumps only on one leg. I feel silly bringing up to my doctor; however, I m curious to know if this reaction could be related to the injury or even perhaps the injection. Any thoughts?

Hello.

Having goosebumps only on one leg may be a sign of the autonomous system being affected, especially the autonomous nerves that supply that leg.
So, it is important to bring this up to your doctor and have a thorough neurological exam to evaluate the extent of the neurological damage.

Sometimes an MRI may be requested for better evaluation and further guidance on management.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
