Hi I am 85 years old , have developed diabetes type2 in the last 1- i have a heart rate the of 148 when walking and has not gone dowm significaly below 91 to 130. I take the large dose of Dilitzem once a day and among other things Lipitor has been added . I have had mucn higher sugar rating since then and am losing weight 40 lbs so far. I did need to lose but didnt try.I have been on Coumadin 16 mgs a weeky which has had to be bosted up since i have been goning down and need to go back up. I had a mild stroke in my 50s and a larger one11 years ago. I have had a echo recently and my heart stayed up at 124 all through it. I ham a heart survivor since age 26. I was born with patent ductue arterious and became very ill and reqired surgery.Spent much of my young life on restriction had scarlet and Rhuematic fever at young age. I am on Metaformin for type 2 diabetets recently and now hey want me on insulin also. I feel the Lpitor has made it worse the sugar in my blood. I need advise as the clash of medicines. I did grow up and became a nurse , have 4 kids grown up thanks Dorothy
