Suggest Ways To Lose Weight While Having Psychotilic Breakdown Stabilised On Lithium 1 G Nocte

Late onset bi polar 37 years, had been hospitalised twice following psychotiic breakdown 6 months and three months three years later. Has been stabalised on lithium 1 g nocte. Last three years put on double weight, now 20 stone , i have changed diet, exercise andneed to lose more weight, also been to weight watchers and lost 1 stone.

Lithium causes weight gain. It would be difficult to control this as long as you continue taking this drug. If there are other drugs that can control and stabilize this condition other than lithium, I would recommend on get on them. Otherwise, weight loss while on this medication would always be a daunting task and success would not be feasible.
