Suggest Treatments For Smelly Burps And Vomiting Post Gastroenteritis Recovery
hi.My son is nearly 11 months old and has recently recovered from gastroenteritis.Yesterday ha had a few loose stools and the same today he s burping very eggy smells and is refusing solids but is taking formula and water. He has also vomited a couple of times.Should he be checked more throughly?
Post gastroenteritis recovery may take time for few days. Natural intestinal flora is replaced by abnormal flora may produce gas.
So, use antibiotics like metronidazole along with that use enterogerminal tubes for replacement of flora. Only give soft diet with plenty of Oral Rehydration solution (ORS).
Do not worry he will recover soon. If any vomiting, or dehydration, and loose stools, please consult your pediatrician, he/she will examine and treat him accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
