Hi.
I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Hiccups may occur when a baby drinks too quickly or overfeeding or when it swallow excess air. Usually it will reduce as the month progresses.

At the time of hiccups I advice you,
* To calm the baby before feeding
* To gently pat your baby’s back
* Take a break in feeding the baby till it burps after each feed
* Hold the baby in an upright position for few minutes after feeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
