Suggest Treatment To Stop Self Injuring Behaviour

11 year old with CP. Suffers acid reflux... tube fed, irritation of the lining of the stomach at tube site into stomach. Intense self injurous behavoir (I.e.bitting hands, hitting self, exerting excessive energy, not sleepimg for 24-48 hours loud verbal outburst for as long as a week). Psychological meds suggested. Don t agree. Numbing him will prevent expression of feelings (pain). Help!!!!!!! Thanks but everything is give your credit card #. My son is worth more than money!!! Do you have a fiduciary soul?

The most effective remedy for preventing self injuring behavior would be just sedative and anti anxiety medications which will definitely make him numb for period of hours, rest remedy is not possible most likely.
