Two weeks ago was bitten by a copperhead on the index fingertip. I was treated with a generic viper antivenom in the hospital. My hand has started to itch, beginning with the healthy skin below the bandage and spreading out from there. The bandage is a nonstick gauze pad over a layer of Neosporin, fastened with green bandage wrap (from an old military first aid kit) and cloth bandage tape. I tried calamine but the itching is not getting better. Any suggestions on how to stop the itch?
