Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My a1c was 5.4 in June and in Dec it was 6. I just took my sugar and it was 136 2 hours after I ate. This morning when I got up it was 126 before I ate. I have begun a low carb diet and plan to join a gym tomorrow. Should I start taking meds at this point or try to lower it by diet and exercise? YYYY@YYYY
Hi, From the report it indicates that you might not require medicine and will control blood sugar with diet restriction and exercises. go for regular exercises daily for 30-45 minutes 5 days in a week. Control your diet with carbohydrates and fat. Avoid sedentary life style. Ok and take care.
