Suggest Treatment To Alleviate The Pain In Wrist

I injured my right wrist working in an ice cream shop on Saturday. It hurts to clench my fist, or do circular motions, which are both a big part of my job. My friend loaned me a wrist brace, and I ve taken ibuprofen, but so far I haven t seen much relief. Is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to sprain. But it is better to rule out fracture but doing X ray. For sprain you can apply ice packs for 15 minutes 4 times daily. Applying elastic bandage also will be helpful. The wrist should be immobilised for atleast 3 to 5 days in such case also. Taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen ( advil ) will be helpful also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
