Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
You have cellulitis of leg which is more severe and reluctant to treatment in diabetes patients.

My advice to you is -

1.If still you have redness and swelling than you still have persistent infection. Better you show it to your doctor and continue antibiotics further.

2.To reduce swelling and redness in addition to antibiotics ask your doctor for Glycerine mgso4 dressing and other anti inflammatory medicines (your doctor might have already started this)

3.Do your CBC, CRP levels and if necessary precalcitonin levels at regular intervals to understand whether infection is responding to treatment or not.

4.During cellulitis better you should take insulin rather than oral medicines - it will help to control blood sugar and also infection will heal well.

5.Monitor your blood pressure regularly and if it is persistently high (above 140 /90) than you should consult your doctor.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
