Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You seem to be suffering from
vitiligo.
Vitiligo is an unpredictable disease and it is very difficult to predict the future course.
Some patients may have a limited disease with just a few patches which remains so for years, others may prescent with widespread patches and rapidly evolving patches. Vitiligo may recur after seemingly complete cure
Management of vitiligo is guided by the extent of the disease. While topical therapy alone suffices for limited disease, confined to just a few patches.
Foe widespread disease, systemic therapies are usually combined along with topical therapies.
Topical treatment options commonly include topical
steroids, topical immunomodulators like tacrolimus, topical Psoralens etc.
Systemic treatment is for widespread or spreading disease and options includes systemic steroids,
phototherapy etc
I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a
dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist would be able to assess the extent of your disease and guide you accordingly, whether topical treatment alone or both oral and topical treatment.
Vitiligo patches are slow to respond, therefore you need to be patient with the treatment and follow up regularly with your doctor.
