Suggest Treatment For Wet Brain In An Elderly Person

Hello, my husband has wet brain and was diagnosed two years ago. His side affects are getting worse. He falls, he is repeating things or saying thing in anger he does not remember. And he is now on a cane. He is 62. And he is still drinking about a case a week. What should I be looking out for now. I m afraid that he will fall at work and get hurt. What should I do as his wife?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Sorry to say, but the current issue is due to combined effects of hydrocephalus as well as other cerebral changes with aging.

The treatment is aimed at supportive care and there is no definite cure for the same.

However, if you can provide me with further details of MRI copies and other data, I can guide still more precisely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
