Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Loose Motion In A Child
My kid suddenly started vomiting continuously but after one day she was fine. But immediately after that loose motions is happening past 3days.In a day she was used to poo 5-6times.Today that is third day she have done thrice.She is really active girl but now she has become little bit lazy and tired.I had went to doc for checkup.He just prescribed for ORS so that she doesn t become dehydrate.Unluckily she is not drinking that, but drinking normal plain water and even I am breastfeeding.She had refused food also for 2days but third day little amount she is intaking.I am worried about her loose motions.Do I need to give her medicines or it will recover by its own as suggested by doc (here in New Zealand).If I need to give her medicines then which medicine will be good and what will be the dosage for a 20months,12kgs baby?

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is suffering from vomiting and loose motion which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which could be due to a virus. Need not to worry. You should take Probiotics such as lactobacillus. I would suggest you to start giving oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should give Ibuprofen to child along with proton pump inhibitors as well. I would suggest you to take antiemetic like domperidone and ranitidine for gastritis. Avoid giving any sharp and spicy food.
