I spent 7 months in rehab getting theraphy and been home six now. and im in outpatient rehab two days a week. I can tell im gaining strength .but this is so rare that doctors are uncertain. Hello,

You are suffering from vitamin B1 deficiency. Do continue to visit outdoor rehab two days in a week. It is good to know that you are gaining strength. You are improving have patience, do not lose hope. Vitamin B1(thiamine) converts food to energy, take it regularly as the body is able to store only a limited amount of thiamine at a given time. Include it in the natural form in your daily diet.

You can take it as supplement also. Thiamine is naturally found in a variety of foods like lentils, black beans, whole wheat bread, well cooked whole cereals, yogurt, sunflower seeds, macadamia nuts(small portion), barley, corn, brown rice, oat meal, etc. Salmon, tuna, meat (beef), egg noodles, dairy products, etc. Do continue to take the prescription medicines prescribed by your treating doctor. Stay away from addictions if any and take quality sleep at night.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
