Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Itching And Irritation

Since last night I have had vaginal itching and irritation. I also have a tiny pink little tag sticking out from part of my vagina. I don t know what it is. I m hoping it s not a genital wart or STD. I also have had very minor burning while peeing, and I engage in oral sex but not genital to genital contact.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Let me tell you that the symptoms described by you suggest that you have Bacterial vaginosis. In this case, I would suggest taking metronidazole 400mg. I also suggest antibiotics ointment apply locally. I recommend using cotton undergarments and take plenty of drinking water.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
