hi dr Andrew, I an 49 yrs old, lifetime non smoker or drinker. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia couple years ago, causes excruciating pain, iwas thrust into early menopause and subsequently it all went downhill I went from an 8stone happy girl and now im a recluse. I am chronically depressed and take Prozac . I was on elleste hrt but after constant bleeding for 4mths I came off it could you make a suggestion about another hrt that might be suitable and what can I do in particular with losing weight , I am 10.5 stones and I have t4ried everything, I,m devastated and so lonely cooped up at home all the time, I,m ashamed. my doc got my thyroid tested as she thought my thyroid was enlarged but my test came bak on the low side of normal when tested to see if my thyroid was underactive, no treatment has been offered as they said it is autoimmune condition, but I feel utter despair is there any advice you can give me, please.
