Suggest Treatment For Typhoid

recently i have been diagnosed with typhoid positive result. i have been on antibiotics from the last 6 days. the medicines include ciproxim 1 daily and panadol 3 times a day. i feel like having fever but it remains on 98.5. its been six days and i havent felt any change in my conditions. i just want to know that is that normal or is it dangerous. whether i need to go for more diagnostics. the food i am eating is chicken rice mutton is it fine.

Hi welcome to health care magic...

You have not mentioned which investigation you had done for typhoid.

Don't consider only widal as diagnostic..Blood culture or IG M detection is necessary for confirmation...

For typhoid prescribed drug can be taken for seven to 14 days ..
If no improvement than bacterial resistance can be there for which azithromycin like drug needed ...

Follow below advise :
Small meal with frequent interval
Avoid non veg diet
Fruits more
Egg protein , boiled chicken , khichdi like food taken for maintain energy
Fried food very less

If needed for further work up stool culture and USG can be done

Consult physician for examination and discuss your case
