Suggest Treatment For Trigeminal Neuralgia

Hello I m Ritu 42 years old initially I was taking tegrital for 3 years I wad diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia . But since last 2 years I m taking zenoxa . It had the same effect But since last 1 year ve started taking zenoxa in combination with gabanyt it has now started giving me relief .But I ve notice due to long term usage of Zenoxa I ve started having a hair loss .Can I take tegrital in combination with Gabanyt to avoid hair loss

Tegrital is carbamazepine and zenoxa is oxcarbazepine. Since both the drugs have same effect you can use one instead of other, but people prefer oxcarbazepine over carbamazepine as it has less side effects and less drug interaction.
More over hair fall is not a common side effect of Zenoxa. Before switching over i would recommend you to consider or rule out other causes attributing to hair loss such as hypothyroidism.
