Suggest Treatment For Torn Meniscus In Knee

Hi I have RA and a slightly torn meniscus in my left knee. Over the last week my knee is swelling and is painful along the side and in the back when I walk it feels like it is very swollen. I am wondering if the entire knee swells from the RA, the meniscus or the vein issue or all of the above.

Hi
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern. Possible cause of your knee swelling is rheumatoid arthritis. Anti inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and analgesic will be of help. You may need disease modifying agent such as methorexate and local triamcilone injection in the joint ,you need to visit your doctor for these. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further query then don't hesitate to write to us.I would be glad to help you.In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link: https://www.bit.ly/askdrsudhirortho
