Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

I am having tonsillitis and doctor has given me antibiotics for 10 days. I had the drug for 2 days now. I was told to take Om empty stomach but because of have history of gastric pain I felt stomach pain. I had no choice but to take breakfast, take my regular vitamins then rest for 1/2 hrs or so to take the antibiotics. As for dinner I take my dinner then wait for 1 hrs or so then take medicine. Is this ok? Also this is the second time I am having tonsillitis, should I go for op to remove both tonsils. I am 61 yrs old. Is there higher risk for my age. I am worried about complication as past ops ( different problems) tends to have some complications.

Your symptoms are mostly suggestive of recurrent throat infection for which you can take some antibiotic preferably azithromycin or cefadroxyl after an expert advice along with diominic-dca or wikoryl for congestion. You can take syrup ambrodil-s or syrup bro-zedex for cough and soothing of your throat. Do warm water gargles and take steam inhalation. If still it is persistent then you can go for surgical removal of tonsils.
