Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

Hello I recently received clear retainers...a few days later I noticed white spots on my tonsilles I know this virus is called tonsillitis...but my main question is can my retainer cause tonsillitis? Of so how long can this virus stay in my mouth I am on antibiotics called penicillin.

If it's tonsillitis then u need to take antibiotic- coamoxylav with diclfenac-paracetamol analgesic and an antihistamine levocetirizine.
