Suggest Treatment For Tiredness And Lump In The Scrotal Area

My husband has been very tired for the last 3 weeks (not normal for him). He just went to the Soc and he has a lump in his scrotem as well as a lump in his wrist. He has history of Prostrate Cancer, non-smoker, occasional drinker. He had an ultra sound this morning and they think it is an infection (he s been off-on with fever for last week only in the evenings) or an Abses. If it s an Abses, what happens next?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. As per your history it is [Epididymitis].

Please find my advice below:

1) Ceftriaxone IM in a single dose plus Doxycycline orally

2) For pain add NSAID, ice pack, bed rest and scrotal support and elevation. Follow after 10 days.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath sahoo
