Last Thursday I woke up with ringing in my right ear. The ear felt plugged and sound was somewhat muffled. I went to my primary doctor who said to try a decongestant for 2-3 days. No change as of yet. I have not had a cold or sinus infection or any other illness. I do not swim or dive and I do not listen to headphones or loud music. What could it be?
I reviewed your history. Tinnitus can be because of ear blockage. This requires examination by ENT doctor for examination and to remove the common causes for blockage like wax in the ear and treatment accordingly.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
