General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
You are experiencing tinnitus due to congestion in the middle ear and swelling of Eustachian tube as a result of infection.
Since you have been already administered appropriate medications to be taken for your condition, kindly take them as advised.
In addition, take steam inhalation twice daily and do salt water gargling with warm water twice daily.
The symptom of tinnitus should subside once the congestion starts to come down with the improvement in your condition by 3 to 5 days.
Kindly do the necessary follow-up as suggested.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
