I have catastrophic tinnitus was diagnosed over ten years ago I am treated with Alprazolam and cyclobenzaprine. Four days ago my hearing changed I hear things as if I was underwater and sound echoes inside my head especially when I speak. I still have the ringing of course from tinnitus. The only other symptom is a very dull ache in my ear canal. my balance is no worse than before but that s not saying much since my equilibrium has been bad since Tinnitus started.
