Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just experienced a sudden tingling in my lips (right side only), like when a local dental anesthetic wears off, that quickly spread to my right arm. I also felt warm on the right side of my face. The symptoms lasted about 10-15 minutes and then subsided. The onset was almost immediately after taking a sip of a strawberry slush frozen drink from Sonic.
The tingling of the lower lip is likely to be due to paresthesia in the distribution of the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. It is not uncommon in people with diabetes. If you have not checked your blood sugar, please check the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
